Lost Duggar Baby

Before I begin my rant, I just want to say that I am not in any way, making fun of losing a child. I know that it is a very traumatic thing to go through.

That being said, the big headlines for today is the story of Michelle Duggar losing her 19th 20th baby. Do they expect sympathy from any of us? Yes, the losing a baby situation is sad, but .. for her, really? I mean, she has spent her life being a human baby factory that often resembles that of a dog breeder. She has gotten rich off of her reality show, showcasing her 345081345 kids and getting knocked up every couple of months. Is she really that special that she can get knocked up that many times? Umm, no. Or is she a a few cards short of a full deck? I think anyone who has 20 kids is a little off of their rocker. Sure, lots of people love kids, but shouldn't there be a line drawn? If you have to have a freakin tour bus to take your kids to buy school clothes, isn't enough, enough?? Those 19 kids can not possibly get enough equal attention from their parents. They have the older kids taking care of the younger children. Eventually, the older kids are going to resent the whole situation. I've only watched the show a few times because I find it quite annoying. I mean, it's one thing if you want to have 5, 6, 7 kids.. but you should not expect your older children to care for your younger children. They are not just build in babysitters. I know a few families in real life that do this as well. Their own teenage kids don't have a regular teenage life because they are forced to stay home and care for their younger siblings. What kind of life is that? This country is already WAYYYYY over crowded, why make the problem worse?

I mean, after 19 pregnancies, her body probably just decided enough was enough. Her uterus is going to end up falling out looking like an inflated balloon. Give it up already.

Rude People With Stupid Crap Coming Out of Their Mouths

I saw a post awhile ago on another blog where someone had made a list of the rude things people said to her at one point. It was so long ago, I don't even remember what it was about, but I put it on my Rant list for this blog (yes, I have a list, haha).

After my twins were born, of course it was very obvious that they were twins because we were carrying around two infants. I absolutely hated going to the store with all of the kids because it never failed, someone would always stop us to talk about the twins or make some rude comment. Don't get me wrong, a lot of nice people commented on our twins (in fact, Ben Rothlisberger's parents came up to us in the mall and told us how adorable our kids were). The reason I got so frustrated was, for one, that I hated going to the store any way and I just wanted to get in and get out without being stopped by strangers that know nothing about us. The other reason, was because of the rude ass stuff people used to say. Here we go:

"Are they twins? Oh My God! Better you than me!"

"Twins? .. I'd kill myself!"

"Don't you know how that happens??"

and one that really got on my nerves was, "oh, you are so blessed, God  wouldn't have given you more than you could handle". It sounds nice enough, right? But, first of all, I am not a religious person. Second of all: I did not want any more babies for a long time. After having my oldest and realizing how difficult a newborn can be, we wanted to wait a few years. My dumbass doctor gave me the wrong dose of birth control and I ended up pregnant with twins when our oldest was only 4 months old. We were not financially ready for another baby. Hell, we could barely afford diapers. Mentally, I wasn't ready for another one. Having the twins so soon after the first was soo stressful. The last fucking thing I needed was for people to make snotty little comments about it, or telling me how blessed I am.. when I usually cried every day!

Now, don't get me wrong, of course I love my kids. That time in my life was just very difficult, but I did make it through and now I enjoy having the kids so close in age (well, most of the time). I just wish people would THINK before they open their big fucking mouths, especially to a stranger that they know nothing about. These people didn't know us, didn't know our situation, didn't know anything about us. Now, all of our kids look different; the twins don't look anything like, even have different hair color, so no one usually realizes that they are twins. Once in a blue moon someone will ask if they are twins and mention their blue eyes. I'm actually glad that they aren't identical. People say a lot of stupid ass shit.

Women and Child Support

Here's my rant of the week, or month.. whenever I feel like blogging: Women and the Child Support system.

First of all, I'm tired of all of these immature little girls (that don't even deserve to be called women yet) that wont let their child's father see his own kid. It is one thing if there is a sincere reason to believe your child will be in danger, however this is typically not the case. Women will keep their ex away from their child for petty reasons, or just to get even with them because they left, or hurt them. They think they are getting back at their kid's dad, but they are only hurting their child! Do they not realize that when that kid grows up and sees that it was his mom that kept his father away, that child will end up hating you for it? Do you not realize that a child needs a father in his life? Even if you think that your boyfriend, or current fling is a good father figure, he's not the biological father. Let your child see his own dad! When my husband and I split up, I was soo angry and hurt because of him and it would have been easy for me to tell him, "no, you can't see the kids".. but I didn't want to do that to my children because I know how much they love him. People like me and my husband grew up without a father in our life, because our dad's just didn't give a shit. We know what it's like to hurt, and wonder about our father, and wish we had that male role model in our life. Do you want your child to go through that just because you are being a selfish little bitch? If your ex wants to see his kid, LET HIM! I know mother's that will bribe their ex by telling them, "I will let you see your kid if you give me more money" (even though they pay child support already), or if you do this or that. Your child is not a THING! It is a human being; treat it like one!

This leads us to the whole child support thing. Ugh. This subject just pisses me off the more I think about it. Ok, first of all, child support enforcement is good when the dad is just a dead beat dad that doesn't care about his child, however I think the child support system needs to be ran better. They try to say that it's "for the children", but they don't give a crap about your kids, all they care about is that extra fee THEY get out of it. Most child support case workers treat all dads (and yes, some women) like dead beat pieces of crap. They are rude and nasty whenever the other parent calls in with a question. I've heard this from many, many different people who live in different counties and states. They will leave the father high and dry with nothing. I know people who work 40-50 hours a week, and go home with $90 in their pocket, because the rest of their check went to the mother, who sits on her ass and refuses to work. How is this FAIR? How is the father supposed to survive? No one can live on $95 a week! Oh, and if the mother goes on welfare, they will make the FATHER pay welfare back, too, on top of the child support! Are you freakin kidding me?? If the father has other kids at home to take care of, child support doesn't care about that. They are SUPPOSED to take other children into consideration when figuring up the amount to be paid for child support, but if the mother whines about it, it wont change. Then a lot of times, these men work their asses off only to have 3/4 of their check taken, and still don't get to see the kid because the mom wont let him! Child support wont do anything about that, they will just tell you that you have to get a lawyer to get visitations. Well, how the Hell is anyone supposed to afford a lawyer on $95 a week?? There just has to be a better way to run the child support system, and BOTH parents should be held accountable for their kids. It's not run fairly at all. Also, I know men who have been sent to jail because they got laid off and couldn't pay child support for a month, while there are others who haven't paid anything in 10 years and they don't get jail time or any kind of penalty. What's wrong with this??

Blah, I feel much better now after getting this all out. I'm not just speaking from my own experience (well my husband's experience) with child support, I've heard the same stories from people all over the state of Ohio and even other states. Most Child Support agencies are run the same way, and something needs to change.
