I Hate Having to Keep My Mouth Shut!

I'm the type of person that feels the need to make sure that someone knows when they are being an asshat. If I am treated rudely at a store or restaurant by an employee, I will either say something to them or talk to their manager about it. I've gotten in a few shouting matches with people in public because they were just being total twat waffles and they needed to know it! I can't stand people who are rude or out of line and I feel the need to tell them so!

I really hate it when I have to zip my lips and just keep my comments to myself. The most recent problem I've encountered is in the town we live in. We just moved here almost a year ago (just a few weeks away). It's a nice small town with a lot of rich people but most of them are very friendly. It's one of those towns where everyone knows everyone else and I have kind of felt like the outsider here. The town runs their own utilities and everything keeping them safe from having to follow any state or federal rules and regulations. As I said, most people in this town have a lot of money but if you drive around you can find plenty of people who are not so lucky (including us). My problem is with the utility people. Everything is all on one bill: water, electricity, and gas. We have had problems since we moved in. When we first moved in, we were getting charged outrageous water bills and when we questioned them about it, we were told that we must have had a leak. We had all new plumbing put in before we moved in, there was no leak. Ironically enough, the town was also putting in new water lines at the same time and we were told by other people who lived in this town that they were famous for passing their bill onto newcomers to the town. Surprisingly, when the water lines were finished, our bill went down drastically. When we asked about it again, the head woman at the utilities department told us that we must have gotten our leak fixed and that we were just lying about it! She actually called my husband a liar! They have no programs available for low income residents, no percentage of income program or anything like that. The head woman of the utilities department is the biggest bitch in town. She refuses to work with anyone and treats anyone who can't pay their bill like lazy pieces of shit even though my husband probably works physically harder in ONE day than that twat has ever in her life! It is taking everything I can not to go to their Facebook page and tell everyone about this rude bitch. I mean, she is downright rude. She has basically told us that she doesn't give a shit about our situation, our kids, or anything at all. She is also one of the "board" members of the town, so I feel that even if I did try to complain to anyone, it wouldn't get anywhere. It's to the point where we have actually discussed selling the house that we just bought last year and getting out of town.. but we really don't want to because it IS a nice town. I so badly want to call this bitch up and just go off on her.. but I'm sure that would backfire on me because she IS the one who runs the place and she can pretty much do whatever she wants to do to make our life Hell in this town.

There's also the issue of my kids' teachers. My daughter has a teacher whom I got into an argument with a few months ago about a stupid library fine. She stepped way out of line with some of the things she said and made me feel like shit. It's soo hard for me to not tell her what I really think about her but I'm sure word would travel fast and I don't want things to be any harder for my family or our kids.

It drives me crazy not to be able to put people in their place that deserve it. Honestly, I'm one of the nicest and most caring people that you will ever meet and that's why it pisses me off when people are so rude to me or any of my family because I don't raise my kids to be that way and I want to bitch slap anyone who IS that way.

Customer Service My Ass

Don’t you just hate having to call a utility company? For whatever reason it may be, you never know if you are going to get someone nice or someone not-so-nice. The majority of the time, the latter one is what you end up getting.

I had to call Time Warner Cable two times in the past week. I had to call them a few days ago because they shut my cable bill off for $7. Seven fucking dollars! Reeeaallllyyy? The first woman I talked to was a grumpy ass right away, arguing with me. I would say, “are you telling me that you turned my cable off for $7?”... 


“no maam, it was turned off because you still have a balance of $7”.. isn’t that what I just fucking said??????? Somehow the call got disconnected, so I called back and talked to another woman who was fairly helpful and gave me 3 days to pay the fuckin stupid $7.

Sooo, today, my husband is watching TV and out goes the tv.. again. I call and the first woman I talk to said it got turned off because I didn’t pay it AT a Time Warner Cable Office, I paid it at one of their pay stations.. you know, a grocery store, instead of driving a half hour to pay fucking $7! These pay stations take 5 - 7 days to post to the account. How am I supposed to know this? Am I a mind reader? Do I know everything? I kept telling her that it was not MY fault that it takes so long! She wanted me to drive a flippin half hour to go show the cable office my receipt! Instead of just taking a receipt number like other places do. Ahem, I finally get frustrated and ask to talk to a supervisor. I wait.. and wait.. and wait... the woman gets on and right away had an attitude with me. I swear to the devil it was the same fucking woman I just talked to. I swear they had the same name and the same voice. This one was supposedly a supervisor, but she was a complete bitch. Like I said, she had an attitude as soon as she got on the line and it didn’t get any better once the conversation started. We argued back and forth and she did nothing to help me. I told her she had an attitude as soon as she got on the line with me, but she said she didn’t. I said, yes, you are right.. I lied, I made it all up, you were nice as pie!! WTF! When we got off of the fun I said in the most condescending sarcastic voice possible, “thank you soo much for your help and for your sunshiney personality, it was a pleasure, and you have a wonderful day!”

Look, I’ve worked in customer service and in sales. I know what it’s like to deal with people all day long. I try to be polite to everyone. When telemarketers call, I politely tell them I’m not interested instead of being rude or making up some stupid ass story that some people think is so freakin hilarious to do (btw, telemarketers laugh at your dumbass when they hang up.. as if they hadn’t heard any of those before!). I only get an attitude if they are rude to me or do something to piss me off.. then it’s on!

Don’t be a fucking rude ass bitch if you work in any kind of customer service job. Customers call you because they are obviously mad about something. Your job is to service the customer; make them happy, not be a fucking belittleing (is that a word) little twat bag. If you don’t like your job, there are thousands of people out of work that would be glad to take it from you.

People are so rude!

Do people not have common courtesy and manners when shopping for groceries (or in any store for that matter)? I hate going grocery shopping, I really do. It’s a pain in the butt shopping for a family of 5 and it’s even more of a pain when we have to take our kids with us. I mentioned in a previous post about my husband and I having manners and teaching our children manners. Well, we do. Even in stores we are always courteous to others, we say excuse me, and we apologize if we accidentily bump into someone. We also always make sure to stay out of other’s way. We stay on one side of the aisle so that there is room for other people to get through.

Obviously, there are some shoppers who think they own the whole damned store. They will stand right in the middle of the aisle even though they can plainly see other shoppers trying to get through. I went grocery shopping today and noticed a couple that were shopping. The woman was standing on one side of the aisle while her husband was standing on the other side of the aisle shouting to her what to get. Of course, if they BOTH stand on opposite sides there is no room for other people to get down the aisle!

A month or so ago, my husband and I were at the store and there were two women shopping together. They both had a cart and they were standing side by side in the aisle deciding what kind of salsa to get. We had to stand there and wait because there was no room to get through. There were about 3 or 4 other shoppers waiting on the opposite side. Finally, the one woman looked at the other woman and says, “well I guess I have to move because these people are giving me dirty looks”. I snickered when I heard that.. Then the conversation went something like that.

Rude Woman (not talking about me, talking about other shoppers): “Oh, that’s just so rude!”
ME: “No, what’s rude is standing in the middle of the damn aisle so no one can get through!”
RW: “Uhh, it’s called shopping!”
ME: “Uhh no, it’s called being a rude bitch and not having manners enough to get out of the damned way.. You can move over for people to get through!”..

.. She continued to mumble something to her friend, but not loud enough for me to hear…

Then there are the people who just cut you off and don’t even bother to say sorry or excuse me. Or the ones who just let their kids run around like wild animals getting in other shopper’s way. The parent just keeps shopping and doesn’t pay any attention to what their kid is doing. Or.. The people who stand in the middle of the aisle and chit chat with their buddy making everyone go around them or wait while they talk about their boring lives.

I mean, come on. Doesn’t anyone have manners these days? I just can’t believe how rude people are. Sometimes I just end up getting soo pissed off while at the grocery store because of other people. I’m one of those people who can’t keep their mouths shut about it either. If I think someone is being rude, I will say something loud enough for them to hear me!

Some people just have NO manners!

So, I take my kids to preschool and pick them up every day. The school is laid out so that there is a bus lane that comes right up in front of the doors which makes it easier as the teachers have to escort the kids to the bus since they are still so little. They have a parking lot for parents that bring their children to park in.

Here is my rant: Are people seriously soo lazy that they PARK in the bus lane instead of parking in a parking spot a few feet away when they pick their kids up?? YES, they are! I mean, come onnnn people?? Because of these people being soo lazy and inconsiderate it means that the bus has to stop in the middle of the parking lot, which means the teachers and kids have to walk out to the parking lot to get on the bus. It also means that quite a few number of parking spaces are blocked so either people coming have to park 2 miles away OR people that are leaving are STUCK in their spot until the bus leaves! All of this inconvenience just because of a few lazy people, sometimes it's only ONE person that causes all of this mess! All because they could not be considerate to others and park in the damned parking spot! OMG, people just irritate the crap out of me sometimes! Do they really think they are THAT special that they get the privilege of parking right next to the door? Some people just need slapped!

That's my rant for the day and I'm sticking to it!!

My weekend fun and rant!

We had a very busy weekend! Saturday we went to a concert and slept at my moms house afterwards so that we didn't have to have the kids out that late driving back home (we live an hour away from my mother). Then Sunday morning we came back home to take care of the dog and headed to the Fort Wayne's Children Zoo. It was a little disappointing. I expected it to have more exhibits. My oldest son is obsessed with the Lion King and loves Lions. He was soo excited about seeing a Lion in their Afican Safari and they didn't even have it finished. The only animals in the safari was a Giraffe! Their website didnt say anything about it not being finished yet! Then we paid $2 a piece to take a train ride. It was $10 for all of us and all it did was go around a freakin circle! What a rip off! But, the kids still had fun and it was nice to have a family day together.

Now, for my rant! Most of the exhibits had a lot of people in them with everyone waiting their turn to see the animals. We would patiently wait in line only to have a bunch of kids, who should know better, running and pushing in front of our kids! What made it even worse was that the parents were right there and LET them do that and some of the parents did it themselves! That is so rude and disrespectful! Wait your turn like everyone else!

Then you have the people that just want to stand right there for like 15 minutes making everyone else wait and wait! Have sone respect for other people and get the Hell out of the way! Everyone else would like a chance to see, too! This one guy was video taping and standing right in the middle of the walk way so that no one could get through until my husband pushed his way through with the double stroller, lol. We got some dirty looks, but do you really think that everyone wants to stand their and wait for you to get out of the way since you want to stand right in the middle?

Towards the end of our zoo journey we were about to get on the train. Ofcourse it was a little train with small seats that could fit two adults in each seat. It was us and 3 kids so we needed to have two seats together. We were at the end of the line to get in and everyone else would pick seats in the middle of empty seats. So it would be like one empty seat, then two seats of people, then another empty seat. NO ONE would offer to move back a seat so that our family could sit together. Not one freakin person! Our kids were so excited to get on the train and we had to stand and wait until the next one came because no one would move for us.

You know what really aggravates me? Everyone looks at us weird and makes little comments about us because we have a lot of tattoos. Especially my husband. He just got a tattoo on the back of his head (I wasnt happy about it..but anyway...). I've heard all sorts of little comments and people pointing at my husband with disgusted looks on their faces. But you know what? WE are respectful to other people. We love to help people when we can and we care about other people. All of these "normal" looking people are the ones who are raising rude ass disrespectful kids because they act the same way as parents! It's the "normal" people who are pushing in front of everyone. It's the "rude" ass people who only think of their selves and don't care about anyone else around them. But yet you people judge us by the way we look and stereotype us because of what we choose to do with our OWN bodies. I know I have written about this before, but our kids are very well behaved in public and that's because we have taught them to be respectful of other people! No wonder this world is getting worse and worse by the second. It's because of immature, disrespectful parents raising immature disrespectful children..and the cycle is just going to keep continuing and growing!
