Who Cares About Brand Names??

Just curious here. How many of you buy name brand purses or clothing? I know there are people out there who collect name brand purses or hand bags... but, why? I mean, to pay hundreds of dollars for a flippin purse?? Seriously? Believe me when I say this, but the $20 purse at Walmart will hold all of your shit the same way as your $250 purse will. Do you really need to feel soo important that you think having name brands make you special? How many of you out there just have to buy name brand clothing? Even though, a lesser known brand may look better on you? If you want to throw your money away, how about doing something good with it, like giving it to a charity then? How many times have you stopped and donated money? Probably not often, eh?? But yet you will be happy to spend hundreds of dollars on a label name? Wearing a specific label does not make you special, I promise!!

As for me, I buy what I like. If I like how something looks on me, I will buy it. Hell, I've bought camo. capris at freakin Family Dollar. Fuck you if you laugh! So what? I don't need to spend an obscene amount of money on a billion dollar a year label just to feel good about myself. I don't care about what label is on my fat ass and I really don't care what name is on your ass! It still smells like your ass!!!!

Do something GOOD with your money. Help people who need it instead of fattening the pockets of billionaires. I know that most teenagers go through a stage of wanting to "fit in" by wearing name brand clothing, but really, if you are over the age of 21, grow the fuck up and get your priorities straight!

One thing I will say in favor of name brand is that often they are better quality than off brand. However, having said that, I haven't cared what brand is on my ass since high school. If it fits and it looks good, I'm all over it. Granted, I'm poor and can't afford name brand, but still. I'd much rather have 3 pairs of off brand jeans than 1 pair of name brand.

Same here, Raven. Even when I do have the extra money, I typically stick with the cheaper brands. Just don't think the $$ is worth it. Once in awhile I do splurge on a pair of Skechers shoes just because they last forever!
